Dear Homestay Host,

My name is Ayus Saini, and I am an international student from India. I will be joining the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, for the Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Medical Physics) programme. I am looking forward to starting my studies in New Zealand and experiencing the local culture while living in a safe, friendly, and supportive homestay environment.

I have completed my Master’s degree in Physics from Chandigarh University, India. My academic interests are related to physics, medical applications of science, electromagnetic systems, instrumentation, and scientific research. Through my postgraduate studies in New Zealand, I aim to enhance my knowledge and practical skills in the field of science and build a strong professional foundation.

I am a calm, respectful, and responsible person. I value cleanliness, punctuality, and maintaining a peaceful living environment. I understand that staying with a host family involves respecting their home rules, lifestyle, privacy, and daily routines. I am willing to participate in family activities, learn about New Zealand culture, and share my own Indian culture and traditions with my host family.

I am a pure vegetarian and do not eat meat, fish, or eggs. I would prefer a homestay where vegetarian meals can be provided. If vegetarian meals are available, I would be happy to opt for the meal plan. However, if vegetarian meals cannot be arranged, I would prefer a homestay option without meals and prepare my own food according to my dietary requirements.

I maintain a simple and healthy lifestyle. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I prefer a quiet environment that allows me to focus on my studies. During my free time, I enjoy reading, learning about science and technology, listening to music, and exploring new places.

I am coming to Christchurch with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to a new country and culture. I hope to find a welcoming homestay family where I can feel comfortable, continue my studies successfully, and have a memorable experience in New Zealand.
